A Black county girl.

I never understood why that white guy in Clayton county didn't want to date me back in middle school. I never understood the whole societal rules and biases in place at the time. I believed that marriage was a personal relationship between a person you love, and any woman he loved. When he came back to Atlanta he was a much different person. When I tracked him down, I was not in store for what he wanted to tell me.

He was sorry for treating me bad back in the day, his christian values based on the sanctity of marriage were different from mine. When I met his wife Emily, I knew what he was talking about. Systemic racism was a real thing, but he did say that he wanted me back in his life. He told me that we were going to go for a drive in the countryside.

I thought racially bias and crazy people lived out there, but it was more grey than I thought.

When we went to the countryside, white people were looking at me, not as property, but in pity.

I learned from Jonathan that the white supremacists had every reason to prevent black people from coming out there. He told me that as long as I respect the boundaries of the people out there, they would have no problem with me being in their community, as long as I don't attract my friends downtown.

He told me that most of these white supremacists believed that black girth would make white women go insane and burn down a Wendy's. Me personally I had sex with a black guy, his girth pretty much was painful because of how emotionally detached he was. Maybe if he found methods to sooth my emotional state it wouldn't be so bad.

These folks out here just wanted to live their lives. I now knew why he wanted me to meet his wife.

Personally I didn't think black supremacy existed. Jonathan and his wife showed me that systemic racism caused a backfire effect in which the black community started to resent white business owners because of their intimidating high towers downtown.

It all began to click, the world outside the south was not the world I thought it was. Between you and me, since I was single with no kid, I asked Emily if I could fuck Jonathan. She questioned me first, but then she agreed after I told her my reasoning. Eventually I had his kid under a mutual understanding.

Jonathan was on top of the world at that time. He even helped his friends get connected with the right people. I mean World Taco was awesome, I didn't know that his friend Alex was gifted.

In the end, we were wasting away again in Margaritaville. Our kids grew up to be respectful members of society and nobody questioned why we did that.

Jonathan's philosophy of don't fuck people you don't know was also a metaphor.
